FAQ Blog Series: How to make a Puff Banner Piece- Bestie Friendship Bracelet
Hi POPsters! This week's release is all about the Besties! We've enhanced our Puff banner piece slightly, so here is an update to our current tutorial.
Tear-Away/Cut-Away Stabilizer depending on material used (For felt- POP suggests using cutaway; you may need two sheets of tear-away depending on the density of the design you choose.)
Let’s Make It!
Hoop tear-away or cut-away stabilizer depending on design choice.
Run Step 1- This runs the placement lines for your project onto your stabilizer.
Cover placement lines with your foam of choice. Lots of information on foam in the video above.
Run Step 2- This will tack down the foam.
Trim or rip your foam away from the tack down line.
Cover foam with a 4x4 piece of felt or vinyl.
Secure and Run Step 3- Basting box stitch.
The basting box helps prevent puckering.
Run detail steps. This will vary by design. For the Smiley it is step 4 & 5 (eyes and mouth)
Run Step 6, ribbon holes (noted with purple thang)
Once the ribbon holes are run, turn your design over. Cover the back of the design with felt or vinyl. Secure.
Run Final outline step
Remove design from the hoop, tear away any excess stabilizer, and trim around the perimeter of the banner.
String up your banner using your choice of ribbon or twine & enjoy!
